1968 Chevy C-30 1-Ton Dually

From Carl :

Hi guys. Here is my most recent find. It's a 1968 Chevy C-30 1-ton dually, one owner with 89,545 miles. I must say this is a very rare bird. It took me three months to convince the owner to sell it to me.

The truck had been sitting in a pasture for the last five years in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The amazing thing about this whole story was "All it took was a hot battery and some starting fluid and the truck fired up during the first rotation." Here's a head-on shot.

The truck is all original including the original title. It has a 4 speed and I think a 327 with 2 bbl carb. All the lights work and the heather works. It has to -- being that it is located in Wisconsin! It has the original split rims and tubed tires. Here's a picture of the instrument panel.

I spent several hundred dollars getting the whole braking system re-done, and additional odds and ends repaired.

I drive this truck weekly. I just love this truck and it is a blast.

I will update you guys as work on the truck continues. Stay in touch.
