From Clarence :

Here is my 1946 Chevy stakebed. The original title said it is a 4400 series. I got a heck of a deal on this truck. I have all the original paperwork from when it was first purchased.

The truck has a 216 engine, single barrow carb, 4 speed with power take-off.

It only had one previous owner who only used it on a small farm. It was bought at a dealer right here in Hammond, Indiana. The net price brand new was $1008. It cost $25 to deliver it to the customer with oil and a full tank of gas. When it was delivered, the total charge with extra's was a whopping $1281.80. What a deal !!

According to last owner, the mileage was accurate. The odometer works and it says 40 k.

I have the front bumper and I found a parking light housing reasonably priced. Heck the dealer were it was bought only had six digits. Can't wait to get it done.

Enjoy -- more pictures to follow as I get closer to my dream.
