From Mike :

This is my 1958 Chevy Apache 31 pro street. I found this truck at the drag races / swap meet. It was on a trailer for sale. The guy that owned it was going to make a drag truck out of it. We worked out a deal and I traded him a Harley for it. It was already chopped (as shown in the pictures) and had a four link under it. He said it was all steel and ready for paint.

I had a small block Chevy that I built up, dynoed at 420 hp, that I installed with a turbo 400 from a Winnabago. I've already set engine and transmission. I'm working on body work now. I started to strip all the paint off (it has about 4-5 layers, different colors) and found a bad fender. I also noticed that the truck had been in a wreck. So the work continues.

Keep looking for progress. I will post as I get things done. I also have a journal on Hot Rodder.com under oldmanchoppers journal.

I live in Stuart, Florida and will have parts if anyone needs some. Feel free to email me.
