Michael Edmonton's1960 Apache 10 |

From
Michael:
Hello. Here are several photos of my 1960 Apache 10
for inclusion in your on-line gallery.
My great-grandfather purchased this truck new in April 1960 from Hannah Motors in Mankota, Saskatchewan for $2,930. It is a base model with a 235 six and three-on-the-tree. To date, there are 69,800 original miles on the odometer.
The truck was given to my
father in the early 80's and he made and added the checker plate rear bumper
and running boards, as well as the mud flaps. In 1993, I had the truck repainted
to factory original two tone yellow and white, put a new maple bed in the box
and replaced the windshield. A passenger side exterior rear-view mirror, interior
rear-view mirror and passenger side sun visor have been added, but are all factory
parts. Hub caps are the original style, but I replaced the original painted
ones with the chrome version.
My intention is to have the truck fully restored within the next couple of years. I will remove the running boards and mud flaps and replace the home-made rear bumper with a factory spec model.
The interior is in good overall condition, but the upholstery is beginning to crack and I want to get it replaced.
Currently, I have 4 new Firestone 670-15 bias-ply 2 1/2 inch whitewalls on order from Coker to give the truck a bit more pizzazz.
Thanks,
Michael Brodrick
