From Steve :
I'm new to the Stovebolt forums. My truck is a '52 3100. Under the hood is a '72 Olds 455 V8 with a manual 4 speed and 4WD from an '89 Suburban. It has a/c, power steering, disc brakes, tilt wheel. It has a new exhaust system from headers to tailpipes. I've got a tow hitch receiver and trailer brakes.
The truck runs great, steers straight, and stops quick. I'm considering installing a 700r4 to replace the manual 4 speed.
I bought this truck about eight months ago. I found it on eBay. The truck was pretty much a turn key driver. It's finished to the point that the only remaining items I'm thinking of undertaking are to sand and re-varnish the bed planks, add a good stereo system. I'll still be doing some more research on swapping out the 4 speed manual for either a five speed manual or a 700r4 automatic.
Thanks for considering this submission.
