From Charlie:

Hello.  I just finished the body work on my 1971 Chevy C-10 long wheel base truck.  I got it done just in time for Hot August Nights (Sun valley is right next to Reno, Nevada).

My wife bought me this truck from a local garage. It had been a one-owner truck with 87,000 original miles on it.  I was very lucky -- the engine had just been overhauled, new brakes, new exhaust, rebuilt transmission.

The body was fairly straight.  It had some rust and the paint was original. I have no garage so all work was done outside. To remove all the rust, I had to remove almost all of the paint. I tried paint remover -- big mistake! I bought a vibrating sander and after seven days of sanding, I was down to the bare metal and, of course, it rained for two days.

To make a long story short OLEBLUE1 is painted and purring! The engine is a stock 350 with a 350 automatic transmission.
