Craig Cooley's

1967 Chevrolet K10 Fleetside

Update - 15 March 03

When Craig put in his first submission, we asked if he had any "before pictures" . . . well, Craig found a scanner and sent em in!  Thanks Craig!  Looks like that young lad about pushed the truck into the building!

Hello,

I am happy you like my truck.  Thank you for including it in your December submissions.  As requested, here are some before photo's of my 67 K-10 Chevy.

The two pictures that I submitted in Dec. were taken with a digital camera.  I had to go get a scanner to get these submitted.  I purchased this truck 12 years ago for $250.00. Had to do some work to it along the way, but it was driven daily for 9 of those years.  We have moved 6 times in 22 years with my company.  I am currently in Canada.  My daughter walks to school.  It gets pretty cold up here in Whitecourt Alberta, so one morning about 3 years ago I offered to give my daughter a ride to school.  She turned it down and I went to work.  Later in idle conversation I mentioned to my wife that Rachel really enjoyed her walks to school.  The wife says no she doesn't.  She doesn't want to be seen in your truck.  That is when I decided to change her mind.  The truck I submitted in December is the result.  She enjoys her rides to school now.  I have always loved driving this old truck.

From Craig

My truck is a 1967 chevy 1/2 ton factory 4x4. Still running the 283 and stock 4 speed, 4:11 gear ratio. Been driving it about 12 years now. Last year I took it down to the frame.

This winter I am planning on finishing the truck. Just little details left to do. I would like to find factory type power steering for it. If anyone has that sort of stuff let me know.
