Mike Christofferson's1963 C10 Fleetside |
From Mike:
Howdy, I got pretty excited to find a site that's right down my alley. The trucks pictured within your site are in my humble opinion, what America is all about. Restored or not, they are all beautiful to me.
Please checkout my 1963 C10 longbed fleetside. This is
an original southern Cal truck with the same black plates from when the 1st
owner picked her out back in 63' in El Monte, Ca. The mileage just turned over
54,000- (original miles). It had 52k on her when I took responsibility for her.

Under the hood she carries the venerable blackened 292ci with 3spd column shift manual, and purrs like a kitten.
The bed is light ash replacement, and the rest has been repainted (cardinal red) and refurbished at an auto museum in Minnesota, then returned to south Ca. The seat cover has been replaced with new fabric and vinyl in retro design of the late 50's and early 60's, but I don't know if it's true chevy pattern for this model. Maybe someone will view and confirm?
     Anyway, please use the pictures
at your will, I'd be pleased to see them on your site! Keep up the awesome site,
please!
Best regards,
Mike
ps. I slipped in a shot of my '68 El Camino- it's not a Stovebolt, but I love all those old Chevys!
