From Danny:
Hi. Let me start out by telling you that I love your website. I love looking at all the old GMC and Chevy trucks. I think GM's are great.
Here are some pictures of my 1969 GMC. I bought my truck a couple of years ago. It originally came with a straight 6 and 3 on the tree. It now has a stock 350 with 350 Turbo Transmission.
It has Flowmaster Hushpower II with 5" Tips -- sounds really good. It has power brakes and power steering. It has 1992 stepbed and the '92 seat.
I had an under the dash mounted air unit but I did not like the way it looked. So I removed it. I left the compressor and the condenser that I used with the under the dash unit mounted. I found a 1972 Chevy truck in a salvage yard that had factory air. I got all the "under dash" and "under hood" factory equipment for $75 (great deal) along with the factory controls. I had to order from Classic Industries all the broken or missing parts. So, I am in the process of installing "factory air." I think this will look a lot better.
I have put all new door seals and window felt and runners on and the truck is really tight with no wind noise.
This truck runs and drives great and is a lot of fun to drive. It gets a lot of looks. I drive it to work everyday.
Thanks,
Danny Channell
