From George :

I recently aquired this 1956 Chevy 1/2-ton. I have been going through all the mechanics on it and have replaced the door latches and window channels.

The truck had some blistering and damage on the lower part of the front fenders. I've got them repaired and back on. My partner is going to paint them.

I have some ideas for improvements that can keep me busy for a while (recovering from knee surgery).

I put a new chrome grille on it. I put a T-5 5-speed in it. Here's a nice rear view.

The truck still has the original 6 cylinder engine which is in good shape but I will build up a 350 V-8 this winter for it. I built up a 3 carb intake that I'm itching to put on something. That will be too cool with the 3 chrome bonnets lined up.

George

George, anything that you do is "cool." It was great to see you at the Kansas City Reunion even with the bum knee. Hope that gets fixed right so you can get back crawling under these Stovebolts to your heart's content! Plus, we may want you to run a clinic at next year's Reunion!! ~ Editor

George has a nice collection of 'Bolts ... plus a few that he has parted with. In 2011, he added a nice red 1956 Chevy 1/2-Ton. He's had his 1970 Chevy C-10 Stepside for a while (which we've seen at the Stovebolt Reunion in Kansas City). Previously, he had a 1958 Chevy C-10, a 1958 Chevy Fleetisde and a 1955 Chevy 1/2-Ton (we still have a nice shots / stories in the Gallery). ~~ Editor
