My project is a pro-street '69
Chevy C-10. It's been four years in the making. It's powered with a
blown 383 stroker motor, putting out about 800 hp on pump gas. It has
an all crower lower end, comp cam, and all comp cams roller valve
assembly, Edelbrock victor jr alluminum heads, manly valves, weind 6-71
blower (running about 18lbs of boost), 2 Edelbrock 750cfm carbs, and
all GM high performance ignition componants.
It has a beefed up 700r4 tranni,
with a Neel racing 3800 stall speed torque converter, with an
electronic lockout. a narrowed ford 9" with 4.11 gears puts it all to a
pair of Mickey Thompson 33-19.50-15's. Wilwood four wheel disc
brakes help stop this monster after a 180plus mph run.
This winter's project is going to
be all new front end componants, tubular a-arms, tie rods
and ends, center link, new springs, gear box, and a billet
steering column. Also, going to add a polished .25 inch alluminum
dash plate and glove box door.
