1941 Chevrolet Coffee Truck

w/ the San Francisco Fire Department

From Michael

Hello,
I thought you might enjoy seeing a photo of the San Francisco Fire Department's
1941 Chevrolet 1 ton Coffee Wagon. It was purchased new in '41 as a cab and chassis and was built to serve coffee and sandwiches to the firemen at greater alarm fires. It has a small gas hot plate and a large coffee urn with a 30 gallon water tank built into the body. I run the repair facility for the fire dept. and we keep it in great running condition. It has just over 10,000 original miles, original paint, interior, brakes, and clutch. The engine is all original, right down to the spark plug wires! We use it for parades and car shows. It runs like a top and is a blast to drive.

Thanks,
Michael Braun

Curator "Michael - looks like an old MACK truck next to that nice Chevy!  We'll take that too for the Alternate Gallery!"
