From Nate :

This is a 1978 Garelli Gran Sport bike. I got this from a kid I went to college with for free. It needs piston rings, a head gasket, and a cylinder gasket. Plans were to get it going, titled and drive it all summer to make my gas costs real cheap. But it's half way through the summer and all I did was patch the hole in the tube for the rear tire and pedal it around the yard.

The engine is a 50 cc two stroke engine that you have to pedal to start. I've read through the repair manual a few times and I have to tell ya, you have to tear the whole thing apart like every 2,000-3,000 miles just for normal maintenance.
