During a recent vacation trip, up near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, I caught a glimpse of this truck behind a barn while cruising down Wears Valley Road on my Harley. Thinking about the upcoming IRWIPI contest, I vowed to get a photo of it before our vacation ended. Now, that sounds simple enough but Wears Valley Road is a narrow, very busy two-lane road with no shoulders. There is a drainage ditch on each side of the road leaving no room pull off even on a motorcycle.
On our last day of vacation I decided "what the heck" and pulled into the small driveway leading to the home next to the barn. Seeing no cars in the drive, I decided to risk trespassing in my quest to get a few photos. Just as I was finishing the photo shoot, a car pulled into the driveway and two women got out.
I came slinking from behind the barn, waved, and got on the motorcycle. The women didn't return my wave although from their looks I think they were somewhat use to trespassers taking photos of the truck.
If you look real close, you'll notice my wife sitting patiently on the back of the motorcycle. Needless to say she was not amused with my quest for the perfect shot!
