I was able to save my 3600 hood emblems but some might have not been so lucky. Until today I thought they were not available. Anyone interested can find them at Bowtie Bits

Good find Jim, that's the first I've seen of them. I'll bet we will be seeing them at the other
vendors sites in the not to distant future. Seem like they could bring them in a little
cheaper than $50 a pair though. If anyone buys one Id like to see a couple more pictures
of them, the back side for instance.

Shouldn't be terribly hard to copy those being flat like they are. Of course the original
ones were zinc die castings but they could be cast out of aluminum just as easily. I read a
ton of stuff on hobby casting a few years ago and got everything together to make a 5
gallon size furnace for melting aluminum and zinc but never got around to doing any.
That would have been an ideal project for a home caster. I wish there were more hours in
the day so I could try some of those many projects that Ive been interested in trying. Ive
even got several of Caswell plating kits on the shelf but havent been able to find the time
to mix them up and give them a try.

Weird...
I trolled the gallery in the 1952 3600 trucks and none of them had the 3600 emblem until I got to the very last one. It had the emblem but looked like the space between the Chevrolet emblem and the edge of the hood was a bit close for the 3600 emblem to be situated there. At first I thought it was a 51 because it had vent windows but on closer observation I could see the door handle had a push button. My guess is this: the 52 and older did not have the 3600 emblem and this owner, for some unknown reason added it to his truck.

That last one you were looking at might have been a Frankentruck Jim. I appears that the
52 only had a CHEVROLET emblem on the hood and did not have the series
designation plate maybe because of the war effort? At least thats the way it looks in the
parts listing that we have at our disposal.

I posted this over at another thread where I looked this up about the side plates:
In the later parts books, the Series Designation plate listing for the 3100 1949 thru 51 was
pn.3692106. 1953 and 54 3100 used a pn.3700202. There is no listing for the 52 side
plate or the '55.

The 3600 listing for years 1949 thru 1954 was pn.3700203 apparently it was the only one
stocked anymore for those years. The 1955 1st 3600 AD seems to be ignored in the parts
books, possibly because they were using up whatever stock was left from the 54 AD in
preparation for the debut of the TF.

However, Frank50 did come up with a 55 1st series picture in the gallery that had a
different hood series designation plate than the earlier ones.
Here are some gallery shots of some more 55 1st series plates:
