Glove box door striker for 1951 3100

Any simple way to fix the glove box door striker? I broke it off. The parts from the suppliers dont look anything like the piece I broke that is spot welded to the glove box door. Thanks

put an ad in the Swap Meet....Parts Wanted. and I"m sure someone has an old beat up glvoebox that they would be willing to sacrifice.

i needed a striker as well for my 59. i got on line to www.classicchevroletparts.com and ordered a new one. CHEAP!! THEY HAVE EVERYTHING.
