Since i'm selling my '53 Chevy COE, i'm curious how many guys have GMC COE's, on this site. I have a '52 GMC 450 series 3 ton COE, & a '52 GMC 470 series 3 1/2 ton COE.

No GMC's but I have two Chevrolet 5700's. One 1954 and one 1955 1st Series. Like you I'm selling one, the '54.

I have just purchased a COE cab which the seller told me is
a '48 but the VIN# is U53 014648. does the U53 mean it is actually a '53

"U53", Denotes that being a 1953 Chevrolet COE 5700 series. If it has a inside the cab fuel tank, it's definitely not a '48 model. '47, & '48 model G.M. COE's had frame mounted fuel tanks.
