Hello. I just recently came across the Stovebolt web site and wanted to share my 1927 1-ton Chevrolet truck with you.
I purchased this truck in Newton, Wisconsin in 2005. The only previous owner that I know of lived in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. The owner's son did not share his Dad's interest in old trucks and I was able to purchase it.
I have always had an interest in old trucks.
I have some restoration pictures that I can send later. Here are the pictures I have now: close-up of the front | head shot | driver's side | rear | passenger's side from rear | interior | engine .
When I saw the truck, I told my wife that I was going to buy it and she said that we didn't need it. When It here got from Wisconsin, she called her Dad to come see it as soon as it got here.
I do drive it to the store with my dog and to play golf a lot (it's about five miles to the County Club). I get a lot of looks from people. You don't see a 1927 truck ever day.
It's a lot of fun and just another toy to play with.
