My story is probably the opposite of what you like to hear, or what has loads of information about the restoration process.

I just bought this 1953 GMC 3800 series with 228 cid and a four speed transmission. I found it on eBay in Ogden, Utah. I have had it just one week. I haven’t had time to give it a nickname. I don’t know if I ever will give it one.

I did none of the work myself and the only history of truck I know is that some guy in Oregon took an old truck and meticulously restored every nut and bolt and sold it to me in mint restored condition.

I really don’t have a reason why I chose this particular year. I didn't pull it out of a barn in Arkansas and do all the work myself.

I also have a 1964 Cadillac, a 1968 Pontiac, a 1977 Cadillac and a 1967 Chevy Impala.
