Way back in November 1995, with the encouragement and tuteledge of such great old truck experts like Barry Weeks (in the photo at left), we started this web site as a forum for owners and restorers of 1939 and 1940 Chevrolet trucks.

Over the years, thanks to the encouragement and support of Tom Brownell, we expanded the scope of the site to include all GM trucks built prior to 1973. The site has been growing steadily ever since. That growth has been simply amazing and it's a testimony to the folks who've made this site what it is -- mainly the gracious and super volunteers in the list on the left, our primary sponsor, American Classic Antique Truck Parts, other thoughtful donors, and it also includes you!

The folks who make up The Stovebolt Page are the folks who make up the old truck hobby -- young guys working on their first trucks with their Dads, uncles granddads (grandmoms, too) or whomever, to fellers crafting their next Carlisle show stoppers. And lots of us in between. (This is a picture of Kip's girls.)

We like 'em all -- un-running rough pasture decorations to torn-apart trucks in progress to heart-stopping trailer queens to ear-splitting quarter-mile road rockets. Bring 'em on and show us what you've got.

If you like old trucks and dirt roads, then you're one of "us" too. Hang out, look at the trucks, pull up a running board in one of our Forums and join the crew. Tell us what's on your mind or listen to the rest of us squawk -- just don't mind a little cigar smoke...

The Stovebolt Page is proud to be a wholesome, traditional down-home family website. Families, and their traditional values, are not only welcomed here, but hopefully may even find a cool, quiet rest stop away from the din and racket of the Information Super Highway. We are proud to be spam-less and pornography free. So, Hugh, Larry and Bob (kind of like "Moe, Larry and Curly"), y'all find some other place to park.

You'll find no politics, religion, flaming personal attacks, or bickering. As our trucks take us back to simpler, more morally sound times, so (hopefully) does this website. Please enjoy it it with your spouse :) , your children and your grandchildren. Our hope is that you find this site informative, fun and uplifting.

At the top of the page is a photo of John and Peggy Milliman. We're just a little ole "Mom and Pop" web site to serve those who like old trucks and want to enjoy the good company of like-minded folks. Hopefully, you'll find it a restful, happy place too! This site is a family affair -- from the family who designs and over sees it to the families who use it. This is/should be a family hobby, so we recognize and thank our supporting families and ask them to participate, too.

From all of us here in the virtual garage, we hope you enjoy your visit. Hang out, stay late (just don't get in trouble!) and hurry back.

Thanks for stopping by and participating!
