I bought this 1972 Blazer in November, and since then I've dropped in a built 350, ceramic coated headers, 2 chamber flowmasters, 37" Parnelli Jones dirt grips, a custom rollbar, and a six inch spring lift from Superlift.
I've also done some and am still doing some cosmetic work.
My 
question:
my factory (as far as I know) three speed automatic tranny recently blew up,
and I'm looking to replace it with a 4-speed manual transmission from a '71
4x2 1/2-ton. Will the tranny work? I've heard that there is a difference in
2wd and 4wd trannies. Just wondering.
