From Paul :

You have one great web site. My wife and I spend hours viewing more than just one night a week.

My Dad and I rebuilt and reworked many 1949 thru 1954 Chevy pickups over 40 years ago and I am digging into my memory for past knowledge to use on my newfound love of the 1962 thru 1966 Chevy trucks. The pictures enclosed of my practice 1965. [ Rear view ]

The fender emblems are 1964 because I like the position and the emblem better with the custom side trim. There was a big influence on the outcome of this truck because of your web site. I was going to paint it red until I saw "Tom's 1966 Chevrolet C 10." One look and my wife and I knew it had to be blue.

The autobody supply store in Jasper doesn't carry DuPont paint, but we came up with Valspar 327L156 Light Blue acrylic enamel which kept a constant color with the truck being painted in sections. The Victory Red (91 Silverado color) that I had already had mixed will go on another 1965 fleetside -- my next project.

This blue truck will keep the inline 6 with the three-speed stick on the column because the red one to be is already a 400/400, both units I will rebuilt first before body work and paint. I'll send pictures when I finish - in about a year.

Love your site. We'll be watching you.

Sincerely,
Paul Toth

Paul's has two 1965 Chevy 1/2-Ton Fleetsides. The practice truck and his daily driver. He has two trucks that he put together from various parts of other trucks. They are registered as a 1962 Chevy and a 1964 Chevy. ~~ Editor
