3600 LWB Pickup

From Scott Temple

Well, I did it again.  This is my latest purchase:  1956 Chevrolet 3600 (3/4T) LWB.  It has was appears to be a Pontiac 347 V8 (not original) with a 2bbl Rochester carburetor and a "granny" 4 speed - the body and interior are in pretty good original condition!

I saw this one in a small town here in Northern Nevada and showed my wife as we were passing through one day.  To my utter shock and amazement, she said that she liked the TF style better than my 1965 GMC.  Go figure.  So with the wife 'on-board', this was an easy buy.  It needs some work, but it runs and drives just fine.  The "fun factor" is way up on this one!  I would have never considered buying a truck this old without knowing that there is such a great resource out there.  The Virtural Garage is a truck-saver!  Thanks to the Stovebolt Staff and the regulars that put up with the same questions, over and over.
