From Tony :

I have been busy at 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks. Here are a few photos of BIGBLUE. I have replaced the grille and bumper, including bumper guards. I have replaced the windshield and rear window, including rubber seals. I installed a new exhaust system on the factory 292 and put on a freshly painted set of factory 8 lug wheels with 10 ply truck tires.

BIGBLUE is a factory 1966 Chevy K20 with factory running gear. She is a joy to drive. However, she is not much for highway traffic with the factory SM465 and 4.56 rear-end. She gets lots of thumbs-up from speeding motorists -- or they may be cussing me as well since I am only doing 50-55mph. I just smile and keep on driving BIGBLUE down the road.

Take care and have a great day.

From Tony :

I added another Chevy truck to my Stovebolt fleet.  BIGBLUE is a factory original 1966 Chevy K20 long wheel base, 3/4-ton 4 x 4 with an Omaha Standard flat bed.  It has a factory 292 straight six and an SM420 (granny low) 4-speed transmission and factory running gear.  BIGBLUE was in pretty rough shape when I purchased him from a fellow in northwest Nebraska.  I have fixed all the broken items and replaced many items to bring him closer to factory original.  I was fortunate to have many of the factory replacement parts in my inventory.  With a fleet of twelve '64-'66 Chevy trucks, there tends to be an accumulation of excess parts, that get put to good use. (Yea, I would say so ~~ Editor)

The '66 K20 was rather rare and this one is in relatively good condition and mostly complete.  The only body panels that need attention, due to rust, is the front fender tails.  The doors are dented, due to faulty door checks, but rust free.  The inner fenders, cab corners, rockers, floor pans and kick panels are in good condition.  I plan to keep him around for quick trips to the lumber yard or area swap meets.  BIGBLUE is a nice addition to my '64-'66 Chevy truck collection.

I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of you and the staff of The Stovebolt Page, as well as the expertise of the many bolters in the Forum.  I have found many needed parts and swapped many others with the visitors in the Swap Meet section.  Best wishes for a safe and prosperous fall.  Keep up the good work.
