From Tony:

I am providing an update on the latest progress on OLEBLUE. I have added chrome bumpers and grille, chrome mirrors, replaced the windshield and rubber seal and painted the wood bed and wear strips, to the factory specifications.

All that is left is tailgate repairs and paint to match the rest of the truck and repair of a small tear on the factory bench upholstery.

OLEBLUE is a joy to drive and I take her to the local Sonic on warm summer evenings for a milk shake. Life is good in the ole stovebolt.

Take care and have a great summer.

Best regards,

Tony Smith

From Tony:

I recently acquired another '65 C-10 to add to my collection. The collection is now 10 strong -- all '64 - '66 Chevys.

This little beauty is OLEBLUE. It is a rust-free 1/2-ton with the original 283 cid, 2-speed auto Powerglide column shifter and the original wood bed. It has the factory dash gauge cluster, bench seat and rubber floor mat. It also has the factory jack, lug wrench and jack handle and the underbed spare tire.

This little jewel is joy to drive. It doesn't have any amenities. However, I am adding power steering and factory power brakes, as I have done on my other '64 - '66 Chevys.

The Stovebolt Page continues to be a wealth of knowledge and something I look forward to checking every evening. I wish you and the staff of the Stovebolt Page goodwill in '06.

Best regards,

Tony Smith
