From Keith :

Just to let you know that Herman was on his way to new owners in sunny southern California. After sitting in the garage for several months, we decided he needed a new home with folks who could spend more time enjoying him. Good luck to his new family and we will miss him. Now it’s time to get serious about the suburban.

Thank you,

Well, it'll be neat to see how you move along on the 1950 Chevy 3116 Panel (Ambulance) ~~ thanks for the info. Hope to hear from the new owners! ~~ Editor

From Keith :

Well I finally found it. I have been looking for this truck since I sold my 1963 15 years ago. I found this on-line and figured the truck was close enough to home to go sneak a peek in person.

I could not believe it when I got there. I called my wife and told her to clean out a spot in the garage.

It's a 1965 C10, Inline six (I think it is a 230) Dealer option Mark IV air under dash, power steering and power brake booster.

As the story goes, the truck was purchased from the original owner's son in 2004. The truck was parked when the owner passed away in 1985. It still has the inspection sticker from 1985 in the front window.

I know -- "found parked in a barn" -- but I love it.

The second owner did a light restoration on the truck (it was originally green).

We have affectionately named him "Herman." He ain't fast but he is classic. Any additional work will have to wait until I get rid of my '73 Jimmy and my '79 Silverado. Too many projects ... but the wife doesn't mind as long as she keeps her new Silverado Crew cab. Seven vehicles - three drivers ... no wonder I stay broke ....

I considered the "Antique" tag route, but there were too many limitations here in Tennessee so it is now my daily driver.

Will send updates as things change. Thanks again for the great site.

Sincerely,

Keith Paluso
