1958 Chevy Fleetside Shorty
07 March 2007 From Randy : This is my 1958 Fleetside shorty -- "Thor." I got this one close to home. This was just another one I could not pass up. We call this truck "Thor" -- the license plate helped us to pick out this name. The plate was from the state of MO -- 573 THO. The truck kinda looked like it might have been born from the "land of the ice and snow" -- kinda Viking looking'ish to us. This truck has the original 235 and three on the tree setup. It runs and drives great! I just had to put a couple of new brake lines on it and re-wire the lighting and all worked good. This is by far one of my favorite trucks to drive. Not too many like this one around these parts. I have kept everything original on it so far, and will keep it original too. The only thing is that I hate the color. Maybe paint is in the future. See y'all at the All Truck Nationals in Riverside, MO. Randy Osborn Besides being a member of Stovebolt, and the Genuine Chevy / GMC KC Truck Club. Randy has a collection of seven Chevy trucks. Here's his Photobucket account. These are the one's we have in our Gallery: a 1950 Chevy 3100, a 1958 Chevy Fleetside, a 1961 Chevrolet Fleetside Apache, a 1966 Chevy Suburban. There are more: a 1969 C-10, a 1984 Chevy Custom Deluxe and a 1991 Chevy S-10 4 x 4 Blazer. He'll get them in here as he can. WE know how busy he must be !! AND we look forward to meeting him at the Fourth Annual Stovebolt Reunion in Kansas City in 2008!!. And, YES, they ARE a great group!
