From Dean:

Hello. My Dad bought this 1964 Chevy C-10 Fleetside pickup the day before I was born. He used it for his upholstery business. When I turned 16, my Dad gave me the truck. It used to have a camper on it, but it got sold many years ago. The truck has always stayed in the Denver, Colorado area.

The bed on one side is smashed in where somebody hit the truck when my Dad had it. He never fixed it and I have also never fixed it. I have slowly replaced and / or repaired everything except the body, transmission and the bed.

The original engine was a 283 V8, it now has a 350 V8. I have been trying to fully restore the truck for many years now, but have never found the time or money. One day I will have it restored. The truck has always been running and is used mainly to haul various items.

The truck has been with me my whole life, so it is very sentimental to me. I remember riding in the truck with my Dad to go pick-up / deliver furniture or going to the dump every Sunday. When I was able to drive, I took the truck everywhere -- work, drive-ins, concerts, camping and more. My friend in high school nicknamed it "The Machine."

When I bought my first car, the truck was then just used for hauling stuff and drive-in movies. Now I have a family of girls and they enjoy taking turns riding in the old truck. The family has, on a couple of occasions, used the bed of the pickup truck to have a picnic and watch the fireworks on the 4th of July.

Thanks for putting up this great website.
