From Monty :

I bought this truck on eBay in February of this year. I am the third owner. The truck came from Connecticut via Virginia and then all the way to me in California.

This is my first classic vehicle. I didn’t consider this a classic back in the 1970's when I was a teenager -- 1955 was the year I was born!

This truck went thru a frame off restoration that started in 1995 and was completed in 1997 / 98. It was done by Lebraque Restorations JB, Connecticut. This truck has 41,000 original miles.

I have replaced a couple dozen items -- all miscellaneous stuff like chrome emblems. I had to re-core the original radiator, re-build the carburetor, and put on new brakes.

I have the original Bill of Sale from 1955. The green engine paint color [ pix ] is a mystery and I am still trying to determine if it is factory? The restoration photos show the same green color and Michael Lebraque said it was researched to verify. I just have no proof in my hand.

Everyone questions the color and I get a lot of opinions and comments. Some say it may be a 235 (Loadmaster engine).

This one will stay with me for a while [ me and my truck ] ! It still looks great!

I have added some pre-restoration photos: the bed | full shot | motor
