From Dustin :

This is my story and I’m sticking to it.

This is my 1966 Chevy C-10 Fleetside Longbed. It has been in my family since day one. My Grandmother has three brothers. The first one (Arnold) bought the truck brand new and used it for his TV repair business for a short time in Springdale, Arkansas. That's where it spent most of its days. (If you look real real close you can still read “Wood’s TV Repair” on the drivers side.)

Arnold eventually sold it to his brother (Milton) who drove until he passed away in March of 2001. It then went to the third brother (Marion) who drove it once in a while.

Ever since I was young, I had always had a great fascination with that truck and I had made it know to the family that when they were ready to sell it, I wanted the first chance at it. Well, last summer I got my chance. So before I knew it, I was bringing my new baby back to Lake Crystal, Minnesota.

The truck has the V-8 283 with only 74,000 miles on it with the powerglide automatic transmission. It has next to no rust on it except where Milton always had his arm out the window while driving. Everything is still original on it and it is a blast to drive.

I have learned so much about my truck through your web site and I am so happy I can be a part of it.

Thanks,

Dustin Icks
