Chevrolet C10 Stepside

From Mark

Hello,

I just came across your site and pic of my truck enclosed.  My truck is a 1968 Chevy C-10 that I have had now for four years. I purchased truck, as painted, with insurance proceeds from a neighbor's insurance after he accidentally torched a 1966 C-10 I had put alot into, as well as torched my shed. Out-of-control brush fire.....

Anyway, truck was purchased as painted, but I put the box, rails, and window-shades on.  Additionally, have replaced exhaust manifolds with those made-by-Gm-in-Canada ones you get from LMC and put a new exhaust system on.  I have painted both bumpers white, as well as the rear running light brackets lacquer black...

It has a crate motor 350 CID with a three-speed/L1/L2 transmission. Interior is carpeted, but I put a rubber mat over complete floor and put a seat-cover over 'velvet'-style seat. basially a farm truck, but a rather good looking one....

I have chrome valve covers and timing-chain cover that I have yet to install... It does currently have chrome Edelbrock valve covers which came on it.

Bed is original wood, in real good shape except for one front corner, about three inches on one strip rotted through. Two friends have offered me use of their wood-working planers should I decide to re-do wood.  I may also purchase full set, with chrome strips from LMC or some other source.  Anyway, just searched on "1968 chevorlet c-10' and came across your site.
