A Cool Old Truck

John and Kima Fenn's

1941 Australian Army Ambulance

From: John,

Hi Guys. Here's an interesting one for you. It is a 1941 Australian Army Ambulance. It is built on a 1941 chassis and is Chevrolet built up to the cowl and Holden Australian built from there back. The frame is wood and the sheet metal is nailed to it. The roof is (was) canvas over wooden slats.

It was given to me by a farmer who knew I have an interest in old trucks. I am currently dismantling it ready for restoration. However, it is third in line after a 1941 1/2 ton stepside and a 1942 3/4 ton flatbed.
