From Wayne :
This 1968 Chevy Suburban I bought to replace my 1972 dually. This truck has a factory 327 / 4 speed / 4 x 4. I picked it up for $800. While it was on the trailer, I changed the oil, swapped the intake manifold, alternator, voltage regulator, carb, distributor.
I wasn't happy with the '72. My buddy owned the Suburban but he really didn't want it. So I bought it from him.
The carb was bad and the cost wasn't within my cost. That is why I put the 4 barrel intake and carb on. I had it left over after I sold my '72. I just tried out the four wheel drive. It works great! Since then, I've done the BRAKES, front hubs, exhaust. The floor boards are solid. There is very little rust.
