From Seth :

This is my 1963 Chevrolet C-10. I found the truck on the Internet while I was deployed to Iraq this last time. The truck was in Utah and the owner had just bought a new Harley and had lost interest in fixing the truck. I sent him an email and we started working out the price. So, I bought the truck in December 2006. I was suppose to be back in the states in March of 2007 and the owner was going to let me work out the shipping to San Diego. We found out shortly after I bought the truck that we were going to be extended in Iraq until May! So I went ahead and had it shipped and he took some pictures for me while it was being loaded up.

I had always wanted to have an old '60-66 Chevy C-10 but I didn't want to buy one that was already fixed up. I wanted to do it myself. Boy, I didn't have a clue what I was in store for! When I found this 1963, I fell in love. Here she's getting loaded for the big trip.

I am just starting to tear it down and starting from the bottom up. I have had a very hard time finding parts such as a bed but I'm still looking.

The truck has a 350 in it and I think I am going to install a Muncie rock crusher in it pretty soon. I have a disc brake conversion kit -- front and rear -- sitting in my garage that is going to start going on at the beginning of the year. I'll keep everyone updated as my search continues. Feel free to contact me and thanks!

I love the site. It has a lot of great trucks. I think the truck likes it better in San Diego ... A lot less rust for her...

Seth

Welcome to the 'Bolt, Seth. I am pretty partial to the '60-66 body styles myself! There are a lot of parts resources here on the Forums. Check out the Swap Meet! And Semper Fi ~~ Gallery Gal (a/k/a Lori66, USMC)
