Make plans now to attend the
4th Annual Homecoming
29 April - 1 May, 2011
 |
| |
The turn-out for the inaugural Homecoming in 2008 was fabulous -- read all about it. The 2009 turn-out (pictured above) was great, too. This year's event will be even more fun and informative! |
The planning committee has been hard at work ... to ensure this year's Homecoming will be a fun-filled weekend of friendship, fellowship and learning.
Recovered from the 3rd Annual Winter Classic Junk Yard Tour this year, the members of the Old Dominion Stovebolt Society will be our hosts again this year.
Bring your project and we'll help! Always have lots of hands-on work to do with plenty of your online friends -- from wheel upgrades to simply experiencing what it's like to drive a 6-71 Detroit diesel-powered Big Rig. And don't forget the annual "Mike Roache Challenge" where we'll make yet another attempt to set a new world's record for fastest distributor change out and set up -- big fun for all!!

| Bring a project! There's always lots of wrench turning going on at Homecoming. Here, the gang rips apart a '53 2-ton faster than a Brooklyn chop shop. |

Registration
All you'll need to do to register is go to the Homecoming thread in the Events Forum and let us know you're coming. Registration fees? You bet! We'd really appreciate a $10 donation to help defray the expenses of this event. It won't be fancy, but you'll have a good time.
Stay with us!
Attendees are encouraged to camp onsite. Stovebolt HQ is located on a 17-acre Christmas tree farm with several fields and ponds, as well as some woods -- plenty of space for your bedroll, tent or RV. No sleeping in the ponds but do bring a fish pole! Inside restroom facilities are available, but limited. If you prefer one of our nearby B&Bs or a motel, we have several to choose from. Just email us for the list.
Volunteers
If you'd like to help with this event, just let us know. It's a pretty simple event and we're trying to keep it informal and fun, but we could use some help with a few things
Directions
Stovebolt HQ is located approximately 90 minutes South East of Washington DC at 41370 Friendship Ct, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 -- Just Mapquest, Google or GPS us for directions! For a simple map, go here.
