B-W Chapter Convoy

The B-W Chapter (Southern Contingent) convoy will form at 1 pm, Thursday Sept. 24 2009 at the Food Lion parking lot in Leonardtown. We will depart at 1:30 pm. Click here for the Route Map Please let John Milliman know if you will be joining the convoy.

The Route:

1. Rt 234 North to US 301 South
2. Cross the Harry Nice/Potomac River Bridge to King George. Stop at Sheetz for fueling/regrouping.
3. Rt 3 to Fredericksburg
4. At Fredericksburg, take US17 North, around Warrenton, to I-66 West
5. On I-66W, go to third exit (Exit 23/US17) and take US17 to Paris
6. At Paris, continue on US17/50W to I-81
7. Go North on I-81 to Exit 321 (Stephenson)
8. Turn right off exit, take Rt 11 South to Fairgrounds (approx 1 mile)

Execution: Because we will probably hit rush hour traffic, efficient convoy formation and maintaining integrity is important. We will put slow trucks in front, quicker trucks in back. All trucks will remain between convoy leader and designated convoy chase vehicle to ensure we don't leave anyone in trouble behind.

We will be helping the M-D Chapter with the "Parade of Power" this year. Please contact Mike Boteler for more info and job assignments.

Camping??

If you'd like to join us at the camp site, please let Bill Marlow know -- especially if you will be parking an RV with us or setting up a tent. We will have awning space so if you just want to bring a sleeping bag/bedroll, we'll cover you! This year, the campsite will be a joint arrangement with members of Stovebolt.com!

Please plan on joining us for a cookout/dinner Friday evening! No RSVPs, but if you want to eat or drink anything -- bring your own!
