An urban show?

         You bet! Urban shows give us access to large numbers of spectators, and exposure for the Society that it doesn’t get in rural areas.  What makes an urban convention fun in this Society is the diverse opportunities available during our annual gathering.  In our case, Baltimore is trucking country -- we're among family!  Baltimore City has evolved into a great tourist area with numerous exciting things to do.

         One of the great cultural opportunities available to convention/show goers this year is our show location itself! Carroll Park is picturesque with a restored Mansion house on the grounds.  The park is rolling with adequate blacktop roads as shown on the map pages. The park hosts numerous events yearly. The largest is a three-day German Festival that has been held there annually since 1985.  The festival management tells us they have never had an incident there during their event. 

         The members of the B-W Chapter have been meeting at Carroll park monthly for a year. We've seen families having picnics, large gatherings, and even the local government employees union was holding their annual picnic with carnival rides, etc.  Like most urban parks, the Carroll Park has several buildings to be used for show registration, seminars and information -- lots of handy support, and close to our accommodations.

Will my truck be safe?

         Yes! We've planned security measures for the show that will keep the show vehicles and transporter lot safe around the clock.

         Specifically, we've planned:

• Construction-type fencing around the entire park six feet high with barbed wire 
• Controlled access with limited entrances
• Special Events Police will be on site 4 pm – 8 am each day
• Security will also be provided at the transporter lot
• Show staff will be onsite around the clock
